What is the black stuff that has appeared on my grout and sealant?

The most common one goes by the scientific name of Strachybotrys CharIarum, it has been closely linked to rises in asthma and bronchitis.  It is also one of the most common moulds growing in homes all around the world.

How long will I be without my shower?

The re-grouting procedure can take up to 5 hours to complete.  The grout and sealant will require a ‘cure’ time of approximately 24 hours allowing you full  use of your shower the next day.

The mould penetrates the surface of both grout and sealant and NO amount of scrubbing or chemicals will shift it, removal and replacement is the only  answer.

How much will it cost ?
